Ghengis Khan
Ghengis Khan lived from A.D 1167 to A.D 1227. He was a Mongolian conqueror and the administrator of the empire stretching from Europe to the Sea of Japan.

Ghengis Khan was born on the Onon River is Mongolia and he was named Temüjin. his father was called Yesugei and was the chief of his tribe. When his father died, Temüjin overcame many hardships and rejections from tribal allies. He built an empire that was giant by organizing and uniting Mongolian tribes, through marriage, and through brotherhood association.

In 1207 he started conquesting countries, he first started with northern China, then in 1215 he took over Peking, then in the next decade he overran Central Asia, subdued Iran, and invaded Russia.

Only the very center of Khanís army was Mongolian. The rest of his extremely large army was made of people from the conquered countries.

Ghengis Khan died before he completely conquered China and Russia because he died in 1227. Although Ghengis Khan was dead, his sons and grandsons kept expanding the empire. His true successor was his son Ogadai.
